Full-time Senior UX Researcher

What You Need:

Master's Degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or other closely related field
10+ years of related experience
Current active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Willingness to relocate to Orlando, Florida
Extensive knowledge of usability and heuristic evaluations, interface and interaction design, human computer interaction principles, user research interviews, task analyses, workflow development, user story and requirements development
What You'll Be Doing:

Planning and conducting user-centered design research including identification of user needs and goals (through interviews, contextual inquiry, on-site visits, etc), as well as task and workflow modeling
Serve as a UX 'thought leader', rethinking the presentation layer and information architecture
Working collaboratively with the entire project team (including SMEs, UI web designers, software developers, and program managers) to drive the UX vision and affect dramatic change
Planning and conduct usability tests to identify opportunities for improvement in current system. (Site visits and usability testing may require minimal travel)
Identifying metrics for quantitative improvements in new user experience/ verifying effectiveness of new designs through evaluation
Serving as the voice of the user, advocating for big gains in user experience improvements
Leading stakeholder and subject matter expert interviews, brainstorming sessions, and iterative design review meetings
Owning user documentation for a large and complex system including workflows, user stories, and requirements
Other Responsibilities:

Promote products and services at various customer locations and functions.
Perform or assist with any additional assignments as required.
Physical requirements involve performing general office activities.
Position requires a minimum amount of local, overnight and extended travel.
