The Manager, End User Experience is a seasoned user design experience individual who works collaboratively with the Global End User Service owners to design the best possible experience for the 140,000 J&J end users world-wide who are the recipients of the GTS end user offerings.

This Manager draws from an understanding of end user design standards and best practices to innovate and create the amazing user experiences. The Manager, is responsible for thinking strategically and collaborating across disciplines and execute with an eye for detail. S/he must have a passion for design, an outstanding set of user experience design skills, and a desire to execute with excellence

Approximate Percentage of Time - Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
• 40% - Conceive, manage and lead project design from start to finish. Creation of design deliverables such as wireframes, mockups, specifications, process flows, user personas, finished artwork, and prototypes. Lead or participate in regular design reviews and be ready to clearly rationalize and justify design work. Create innovative design concepts based on a deep understanding of user needs and business objectives.
• 40% - Work with and/or develop user research and usability tests. Collaborate with service teams as well as the broader UX team throughout the design process. Provide estimate effort and plan schedules. Obtain buy-in and support from key stakeholders. Support implementation by responding to day-to-day questions from developers, service owners, and team leads. Provide design reviews as they are being developed to ensure that the finished products adhere to the design communicated.
• 20% - Connect with internal and external partners, peer groups, vendors and research organizations in order to keep abreast of the latest UX design and technology trends. Mentor and guide other team members. Help set and maintain the culture of the End Users Services team from a design perspective.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required. Computer Science, Interaction design, User Experience Design or related field preferred. Master's degree a plus.
• 8 years relevant experience in information technology.
• Minimum of 3 years in end user experience to include: design research, user requirements personas, storyboards, scenarios, wireframes, flowcharts, design prototypes and/or design specifications.
• Should possess change agent and business partnership skills at all levels of the organization including sensitivity to different cultures and interests.
• Demonstrated practitioner of design thinking and having delivered business outcomes with it.
• Experience using customer insights to extend value, loyalty and to develop new, cohesive stories and enable fresh experiences.
• Proven results crafting simple and actionable strategies for complex problems.
• Prior program management experience, and ability to be creative with constrained resources.
• Excellent writing and synthesis skills.
• Successful collaboration in a distributed or complex team environment.
• Travel - Up to 5% Domestic and International.
